Islanders’ goalie prospect Ilya Sorokin has signed a 3-year contract extension with CSKA of the KHL. There were rumors of him coming over to North America after the 2017-18 season, but those rumors were put to rest with the signing of this new deal that runs through 2020-21. Sorokin, an Islanders third-round pick in 2014, was considered to be the Isles top goalie prospect along with Linus Soderstrom.
