Round two of the rivalry continues tonight, this time at the Coliseum. After a bad 6-2 loss to the Rangers on Monday night, the Islanders seek revenge.
This season, the Islanders have not done too well against struggling teams as they have a 7-7-2 record against bottom-11 teams in the NHL, going into tonight’s game.  However, on Tuesday night, they played the Detroit Red Wings, who currently sit at the bottom of the league with 27 points.  You would think that the Isles would have a tough time with them, because of their record against bad teams.  Instead, the Isles put on a show, defeating the Red Wings 8-2.
The Last Game
Monday night was the last and first time the Isles and the Rangers met this season.  As of late, the Rangers have been playing some really good hockey.  As much as they are at the bottom of the league, they only sit eight points out of a playoff spot.  It showed on Monday night.
The Islanders got off to an early 1-0 lead and were dominating the game for the first few minutes.  But, after two fights that took place which involved Matt Martin being ejected, it was all Rangers.  The Rangers scored six straight en route to a 6-2 win.  Artemi Panarin had another five point night.
