The Bridgeport Sound Tigers have announced their schedule for the upcoming 2017-18 season. The Sound Tigers will see all 14 Eastern Conference teams for the first time since 2011 which should make for a terrific year. In addition, the Tigers will play the Charlotte Checkers, making the trek to the Park City four different times for the first time since that same 2011 season.  The schedule is packed so it’s worth a breakdown.

In other news:
The Islanders have re-signed G Chris Gibson, to a two way deal. Gibson went 6-0-0 in seven games before injuring his groin which cost him the rest of the season. Gibson was the goalie who clinched the 2016 Islanders playoff birth in a win over Washington.

Christian Gardecki

A Native of Danbury, CT. Christian is one of the longest tenured Drive4Five writers, Christian Gardecki began writing for Drive4five In May of 2017. Christian covers Minor League Hockey and the Bridgeport Islanders for Drive4Five. Outside of Drive4Five, Christian was the captain of his High School Hockey team and currently attends Hofstra University with a major in journalism. Christian was the play by play broadcaster for the Danbury Westerners summer collegiate baseball team during their 2021 NECBL Championship. Christian also was the Public Address Announcer for the Danbury Hat Tricks Minor Pro Hockey team in the Federal Prospects Hockey League and NAHL Junior team from 2019-21.
