Game of the Month: Islanders @ Sharks 10/20/18 Game Preview
As we are only six games into the new NHL season, the 3-3-0 New York Islanders are wrapping up their annual California road trip tonight as they take on the San Jose Predators for the second and final time this year… we love you Butch!
The last time the two teams met was on Columbus Day, where the Isles destroyed the Sharks 4-0. It was Robin Lehner’s debut and it looks like the Sharks will see him again tonight.
The Islanders are coming off of a 7-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night. Three Islanders players had 3 points, including Valtteri Filppula (2G, 1A), Andrew Ladd (1G, 2A), and Scott Mayfield (3A) who was also a +5 along side with Thomas Hickey.
The Sharks on the other hand, are coming off of a 5-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday. Logan Couture scored a hat-trick, and Brent Burns assisted on two of the three goals for San Jose.
