The Islanders ended the preseason on a high note, as they defeated the Rangers, 4-2, at Webster Bank Arena, Saturday night.
The Rangers got on the board first with a goal from Vladislav Namestnikov, about 13 minutes into the second period.  But, with just 18 seconds left, Michael Dal-Colle tied the game for the Isles on the power play.
Within the first six minutes of the third period, both teams exchanged goals.  Josh Bailey tallied his first of the preseason on the power play but then Tony DeAngelo tied the game back up at two.  2:20 to go in the third, Mat Barzal buries one to give the Isles a late, 3-2, lead.  Adam Pelech would then seal the deal with an empty netter.
It seemed like the Isles played a pretty well game and they should look to build on it as the regular season starts up Friday night at the Coliseum.
