Tom Wilson Is A Cheap Hockey Player for the Capitals

Tom Wilson is perhaps the most controversial player in the National Hockey League. While Washington Capitals fans love him, most others do not, as he has repeatedly taken advantage of unsuspecting players throughout his career.

Five years ago, Ľubomír Višňovský had the puck and Wilson ended his career with one brutal hit. Two years ago, Wilson broke Zach Aston-Reese’s jaw on a predatory, late blow. And in the following preseason, Wilson was suspended 20 games after hitting Oskar Sundqvist in the head in the Capitals’ final preseason game.

No matter how you look at it, Wilson is a cheap hockey player. While he has been a very successful agitator and top-six offensive threat for the Capitals over the last few seasons, the way he plays the game is detrimental to the sport.

Tom Wilson could be considered The Joker for many fans, as his aggressive play has left many crawling in pain on the ice.

And if you take the “R” out of Joker and that leaves you with Joke. Many would agree that the way Wilson plays the sport of hockey is a joke and he should be viewed as such.
