Here we are, July 29th and we’re getting set to watch some hockey… crazy.
On Sunday, all 24 teams participating in the NHL’s Return to Play, arrived at their assigned hub cities. For the Eastern Conference, that means Toronto, and the Western Conference headed to Edmonton.

Yesterday, we got to witness live hockey for the first time in over four months as the Penguins played the Flyers, the Maple Leafs matched up with the Canadiens, and the Oilers took on the Flames. Now, we get to watch our favorite team hit the ice again. Tonight, the Islanders take on the Rangers in an exhibition game at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. This is an important game for both teams as they look to get their legs under them and settle into the new environment before the Stanley Cup Qualifiers, which begin on Saturday.
The last time these two teams met was on February 25th, where the Isles lost 4-3 in a heartbreaker at the Coliseum.

Islanders vs Rangers: Things to Look For

While watching the game, try to watch the Rangers closely. Do they look the same as they did when the season ended? Did they take some steps forward or steps backward? How do their top young players perform? For the Islanders, just see how much better of a team they are with a healthy roster. Do they look similar to the team that went on that 17 game point streak? Do they look like a better team than when they were on the streak, with the additions of Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Andy Greene at the Trade Deadline?
Let’s see what the New York Islanders look like tonight when they return!

How to Watch:

The Islanders vs Rangers exhibition game is slated to start at 8:00 PM EST, and the game is going to be available to watch on NBCSN, TVAS, MSG, and MSG+.

2019-20 Game of the Month Record: 0-3-2
