Sound Tigers Visit Providence In Second Straight Game
The Bridgeport Sound Tigers will look to stay in the win column as they visit the Providence Bruins for the second straight game in Marlboro, MA. The Sound Tigers beat the Providence Bruins 3-2 and moved to 2-5 on the season in the previous contest.
Jakub Skarek was called up to the Islanders Taxi Squad, so expect CJ Motte to most likely get the start in goal for the Sound Tigers. The Sound Tigers scored two goals on the power-play in the win over Providence last Thursday. The Bridgeport Sound Tigers will need to keep up the power-play as they scored two power-play goals in the win last week.
Keys to the Game
For Bridgeport, they will need to stay out of the penalty box still, as they are averaging around four penalties a game. Bridgeport also needs to be the first team to score. They fell behind early in the season against Providence. The P-Bruins will most likely go with Dan Vladar in goal as it is his turn in the rotation for Head Coach and former Sound Tiger Jay Leach.
The Providence Bruins need better efforts across the board and will need to shore things up on the power-play. Jakub Lauko continues to be a great piece and Zach Senyshyn, the player selected one pick before Mathew Barzal has been a Sound Tiger killer all season, scoring two goals against the Sound Tigers. Providence’s defense has been a problem though, even with the stellar play of Jeremy Swayman and Dan Vladar.
The Bridgeport Sound Tigers will look to get back in the win column as they visit Providence on Thursday.
